March 29-30, 2019 – Washington, DC
What does it mean to be strong? We live in a world being put to the test, and seemingly on the brink — so how can we make our systems, structures, and institutions stronger? How can we make things less fragile, and simpler — or manage complexity and increase resilience?
When we face challenges, do we stand rigid against the wind — or are we energized, like a turbine? We’ll explore the promising ideas that can help us turn adversity into strength, and help make our civic systems and shared culture become UNBREAKABLE.
2019 Adventure with Department of State
March 29th, 2019 – U.S. Diplomacy Center Pavilion (330 21st Street, NW)
How does diplomacy work? How does the U.S. Government work with the private sector to create more resilient and unbreakable communities?
Find answers to this question and more at this unique, pre-event “TEDxMidAtlantic Adventure” at the United States Department of State. Hosted by the United States Diplomacy Center, two groups of 30 participants will take part in an interactive Diplomatic Simulated entitled Freshwater Crisis: Energy Security and Economic Growth, requiring each group to work together in confronting international challenges.
